Hi All

Just made a mistake on a PT that cost me a personal best score - because I switched the choices when bubbling.

I'm already pretty vigilant and I do bubble in groups.

Any tips to avoid bubbling errors?

I bubble after every 2 pages of LR, 1 LG game, 1 RC passage. That way, you are bubbling in 5-8 questions at a time. I think it's a good balance between bubbling in after every single question (wastes time) and waiting until the end (prone to misbubbling + not finishing in time, costing more points).

Thanks nlee10 I actually regularly do the same thing. I want to make sure I'm not missing anything else I can do to minimze bubbling errors.

Are you saying both the number and letter to yourself as you go? Ex: 7 is B (bubble), 8 is D (bubble)...if you're explicitly associating the number and letter, you're less likely to skip or double grid a line and get a whole string of answers off track.

You shouldn't count misbubbles against yourself on PTs.

I think batch bubbling is a bad idea. Even if it does save you time, it's negligible and the risk that you misbubble is greater.

Maybe a combo of batch bubbling and saying the number with the letter as TLSanders wrote.

It's been quite a while, but the last time I saw actual data on this, batch bubbling actually reduced the error rate.
