Re: Should I retake in December?
I don't know about CLS, but I personally think you're in good shape for the other schools you want to go to. At this point, as you're aware, if there is a problem with your application, it's probably going to be about the coke. I doubt that a couple points on your LSAT is going to make a difference if a school's intent on rejecting you because of it.

Possession of cocaine, particularly so recently, seems like a C&F obstacle. Can anyone with more knowledge on this speak to its affect on his law school admissions and bar chances?

Re: Should I retake in December?
Well you're competitive for CLS with those numbers, so congratulations there.
My suggestion would be to directly ask Admissions at CLS. Write a relatively brief, formal email and they'll get back to you. I doubt that it will be a problem.
Best luck,

Re: Should I retake in December?
What kind of moronic advice is this? OP is supposed to write to CLS and ask them whether he should retake? "Hi, please review my file, and tell me whether you'll admit me with my current LSAT score, or if you instead want me to retake". Yeah, that'll go over great. Thanks, BP Robert!BP Robert wrote:Well you're competitive for CLS with those numbers, so congratulations there.

ETA: now that I do read, I'm just confused as to why a couple of points on the LSAT should make a difference to whether a C&F issue will be a problem. Still, why would you ask the adcomms whether they think you should retake so as to deal with that issue is beyond me.
schmelly, yeah, I think we got the same score, so obv. retaking b/c what would LLH do, right?

OP- consult a lawyer on the possession charge. Not even Blueprint instructors can help you on that one

My thoughts exactly - you are clearly channeling your inner puppy; 181 or bust!schmelling wrote:you're right, I shouldn't accept this low level of performance from myself.hereisonehand wrote: schmelly, yeah, I think we got the same score, so obv. retaking b/c what would LLH do, right?

Re: Should I retake in December?
Of 34 people who scored a 171 and decided to retake, 21 increased their score, 1 stayed the same, and 12 scored lower.
