LSAT retake policy

I'm sure this has been asked before.....but how does the "3 times in 2 years" rule work with the LSAT?.....I took the June 9, 2014 LSAT and planning on December.
I hope I wouldn't need more than three tries....but in a hypo case that i did need a 4 try would I be able to take the LSAT if it was on June 7 2016 for example even though it is technically under two years.

based upon my rudimentary understanding of time and causation, June 7, 2016 is less than two years after June 9, 2014

By two years, LSAC really mean two cycles.
A cycle starts with the June administration and ends with the February administration.
June 2016 kicks off the 2016-2017 cycle and therefore falls outside of the two year restriction despite technically being a few days less than two years.
