At what point would you stop retaking the LSAT?

I've been in denial for quite some time so I took it 5 times.
How many times would you take it before you finally put it all together and came through with a great performance? Would you take years off to let some of your older, inferior scores expire? Would you take in it in a car? Would you take it in a bar?

At this point I would definitely recommend that you wait for your old scores to drop off. Perhaps they'll admire your persistence, but ultimately it will look very bad to have a total of six scores logged on your application.

Besides, it's 5, not 6, and they should not be so judgmental; if they just look at my latest score, which I believe will definitely be the highest of the bunch, that'll tell them what I'm really about haha.
So you would try to distance yourself if you were a super retaker?

It's true, some need more time. And I certainly can't be sure about your particular circumstances. However, in terms of general advice, I do believe most people should wait until those old scores drop off.

Weird advice. Just wait another 2-3 years to go to law school to make your application look *slightly* better? Considering how few schools give any teeth to the idea that they consider all scores, seems like this would only be helpful for a very small percentage of people in his situation. I personally had 4 scores, a cancellation and an absence on my record. I got in to a bunch of t-14's, no LSAT addendum even.

Can you elaborate on your scores/numbers and your schools that you got in? How spaced out your scores were, do the 4takes include cancellation?

I'm just saying admissions committees are probably going to think you're crazy for taking it so many times and god forbid if you have any C&F issues you have to disclose.
