what sort of irregularities are we talking about?
also if you had to guess that much (when you normally finish everything with ease) then perhaps you do fall into that small group of people for whom cancelling might be ok, so you don't have to write up some explanation how your score jumped 15 points in three months

Interesting. Unless there were a lots of "D" on the logic games and LR I don't think I would surprise myself haha.sublime wrote:If you were averaging 175's and literally had to guess for half of LG (only one LG section?) and 1/4 of RC, I would cancel, myself.
Although I am not usually a proponent of cancelling, so if you wanted to wait and see the score, I wouldn't blame you.
Maybe look at different test centers for the retake?
Fwiw, I was in the wrong room, had to come in the right room pretty close to when exams were starting, wasn't allowed to smoke, and guessed pretty much on half of LG, and ended up getting a 166 - I missed as many on the LG section than the rest of the test combined, and I attended on my 166. Although I was averaging closer to a 169-170, not 175.

that's how i am currently understanding it. but i am unsure if that is a misguided view or not. i've heard some schools average your multiple LSATs so in that sense it would make more sense for me to cancel but if they take the higher score i don't see why not have a shitty score now. really curious to see what others think of this. i have to make the call by wednesday.TheodoreKGB wrote:Yeah, I know what you guys are saying. I just tend to look at it as a free-roll because schools are gonna take the highest anyways.

since they only report your highest they will only really care about your highest, but a really crappy score could look weird, like how did you manage to do so badly? I dunno I wouldn't want to have a score in the 150s on my record but unless you hope to go to HYS it shouldn't make much of a difference if you just let it stand and don't cancel, or at least, this is the received view here and elsewhere on the internet.

why does a 10-15 point jump require an addendum? sorry if this is a dumb question. do the adcoms just not think students can improve that much?
