11th Hour Advice Needed!

Hi everyone,

I'm currently a senior at a top NY-based university studying abroad in Florence. I am slated to take the LSAT tomorrow in Rome (at the Instituto Mater Dolorosa). I have scored 163-165 on PTs, but have not yet hit 170 and am consistently missing a lot on LR. I have a 3.75 GPA, good softs, and am looking to enter a T14 next fall. I hope I can improve my LR further by really hammering down during the weeks before the Dec test. However, should I take the test tomorrow just to see what the test conditions are like, as I haven't read any reviews online about the test center? Stuck in a pickle here, any advice would be much appreciated.

It's really up to you.
Generally the correct advice is to not take the test until you've maxed out your potential and to save your takes just incase something goes wrong.

Take a gap year and retake. There are no good reasons not to.

He should be able to hit 170 by Dec if he wants to not waste a year and be C/O 2018. 3.75/170+ is pretty solid for all T14 outside HYS. 175+ and you have a good shot at HYS.

You have like 2-3 months, that's plenty of time to go from 165 to 175.
