180 Watch - to use or not?

I have a 180 watch but I've had to have the battery replaced (it's a year old).
At this point the hand doesn't even start on the zero line - it starts at the 55 line.
I thought about taking it to a watch place to fix but given that it's giving me problems, I'm thinking I should just get a sports watch with a rotating bezel:

One word of advice - anyone with a 180 watch - bring a backup - just to be safe.
