question for LSAT logic game historians

Has there ever been 3 consecutive administrations of the test to each feature an unusual/ rare logic game? It certainly hasn't happened in recent memory, correct? In that case, since Feb 2014 had a circular game and June 2014 had a pattern game, that means the September test should be smooth sailing, right?

Not sure if OP is serious
Or if I've been doing so much studying that everything is a test question

I mean, recent tests usually have one game that is unusual in some way, even if it's not like June 2014 unusual.

Agreed. I've always found that by and large unusuals are not so bad. I haven't seen the June LSAT. One of the worst unusuals I ever saw was what I call the 3x5, in PT 13. You have 5 things needing to appear 3 times, and 3 things go at a time.

Well first, we need to keep things in perspective. A circle game is rare, but but any good LSAT prep would include some circle practice. For the purely unusual games, I have generally found them not that bad. PT60 had a game about spacing out stones, but it wasn't too bad. Just time consuming.

If anything, the fact that there are have been strange games on the last few tests should signal that a weird game is more likely to be on this test than than if weird games had not occurred on the last few tests.

I got a 168 on the Dec 2013 practice test... and scored several points lower taking the actual 2014 February LSAT. Not fun.

Hume said that although induction is not logical in a conventional sense, it is wise... so solidarity with OP. And nobody call me out for my logically flawed appeal to authority!

You won't get any dumber, and you won't have to worry. Trying to guess at the likelihood of an odd game coming up on an exam is an enormous waste of your time. You could've completed the setup and first question for a game in the amount of time it takes to log on and create a thread like this.
Which early games were those? The one in PT 13 where you need 5 columns of 3?

I didn't solve it that way, but the game about the tribes and cycles

How did you do it? I set it up like this:
1 4 2 1 3
2 5 3 4 5
3 1 5 2 4
Those are all variables. The above exhausts all possibilities. Any given clan can take any given number, subject to the additional prompts provided in a question (in which case you would just plug in the additional information. So if we are told R goes first, second and fourth, then we know that R replaces the variable 1).
Without spoiling too much, was the June pattern game much worse?

This is how I set it up:
__ __ __ __ __ , then I just solved with by plug and chug by putting the tribes vertically in each slot as the questions demanded, and
1 2 3 4 5
checked back on previous work when necessary. I thought this way was pretty easy, since if you know the 3 tribes that go in one slot, then you automatically know at least 2 of the tribes that go in the next bc of the first rule, then you can eliminate some options for the 3rd using the other rules. I repeated the process for all the other slots to come up with hypos. It might sound inefficient, but I was able to get this in ~7 mins using this method.
The June pattern game was just different, idk if it was worse. I still have yet to look at it since I took the June test, but it was pretty unique. I can't really compare it to any other game I've seen, and I've done them all multiple times.

No, the June pattern game wasn't nearly as hard as the clans harvest ceremonies pattern game.

They are similar in way, but the june one is much easier because you're given variable specific restrictions which narrow the total number of possible combinations of transfers down to the same two possibilities for each transfer day.
