Postponed - looking to rework my study method.

Hey everyone,

Postponed to December. When I studied the first time I read Powerscore/Manhattan series and drilled Cambridge 1-38 logic games/ logical reasoning/ and reading comprehension. I did this very thoroughly and averaged about 85% on all of the questions making sure to look at why certain answers were right and others wrong. I did this for two months and then went into full-length timed practice tests. My first score in full-length timed practice tests was a 159. I then managed to improve my average to 162 and always did blind review. I still have 14 unused PT (some very recent others a bit older) and I plan to leave these for the last month of my prep.

What was wrong with my method in general? Was it a good method or does something need to be fixed? Should I get other books like the LSAT Trainer? I understand all of the fundamentals and get most questions right during blind review but I think timing is the biggest issue. I also never followed any specific study guide here on TLS. Looking to score in the high 160s low 170s so any help is appreciated.

Thank you all.

How long have you been doing full length timed tests? Does that 85% apply to each section individually, or is there variance on your LG/LR/RC?

My logic games are at -0 with an occasional -2. I am just going to redrill old games every day. The 85% applies to each section individually (i.e. I have had some 97% some 78% etc). I have been doing full length tests since mid July and my worst section is RC with -8/10 usually. My LR is -5 on each section on average. My main issue is speed but I am going to just drill like crazy everything from the beginning and take the 14 PTs I haven't done starting November 1 how does that sound? I believe that I could improve from 162 to 167 but I think it is mainly going to come down to how fast I am able to finish the sections with as much accuracy as possible.

I'd say so :)
