Justify the Reasoning vs. Justify the Conclusion

Is there any significant difference between question types that use the word 'reasoning' (in assumption questions) vs. when they use the word 'conclusion'. I recently got a quesiton wrong because I think the use of 'reasoning' in the question skewed my perspective of the task. It was PT61 S2 Q005. In retrospect, it's a pretty easy question, but I don't understand the difference between the two concepts and why they even both exist if they're the same question. Anyone know?
