If so, did you find it effective? And which model did you buy (and explain why you chose that model over others if you can)?

TCR probably depends on whether your timing is a problem. I'm not going to get a special LSAT watch and I'll be using my standard Timex. I'm PTing with it to see if the ticking pisses me off, but it's my only watch with numbers and minute marks. That being said, I've only had problems with timing on LG and I've developed a pretty good sense of timing on games.

It's... really.. not necessary, I think. Any regular watch should work fine, presuming we all know how to tell time on analog. Get it only if you have severe timing issues?

I don't think it's necessary, but I was given the 180 Watch as a gift and felt it helped with my timing issues. It's simple to use and gives you one less thing to worry about come test day. IIRC it's one button to start the timer and another to reset it to zero. It doesn't make any noise and clearly displays how much time you have left. I utilized it most while practicing LG sections.

I was also able to sell it quickly on craigslist for $45ish so the $60 price isn't such a big deal if you sell it afterwards.

I used the 180 watch too & definitely thought it was worth the $ (at the time it was only $50 but I would have paid $60)

I use this watch http://www.amazon.com/Casio-MRW200H-7EV ... dive+watch and it's perfect in my opinion. Much cheaper than the LSAT watch, and you don't have to reset the watch between sections, since it has a rotating bezel.

I used the 180 watch. I know people say its way overpriced (and they are probably right), but for me it was about the peace of mind and convenience.

I gave my 180 watch to a friend well after I took the test (at which point the batteries had died); he got the batteries replaced for like 10 bucks and it works fine now.
