I have been trying to find dense/complex reading materials for RC so I can improve my reading skills for December 2014 LSAT. I have found books like Pride and Prejudice, Sound and Fury, Moby Dick, and Joyce's Ulysses to have really complex/dense writing, and I am thinking of reading these books for the next 140+ days. Do you think these will help?
I currently averages -6 on the more recent RCs and I want to develop my reading skills for dense materials so that I can understand the passages better, as some passages seem so complex for me that I have no idea what the main idea is after reading.
These are all extra readings along with me practicing on LSAT, and I do have the extra time to do both.

Study for the RC by doing RC sections. That is the single best way to improve your RC score.

If you had like a year till the LSAT, I would recommend reading publications such as The Economist. 5 months is still some time, but it's not as long as you think. I would just focus on real prep.

You could read such publications "for fun" I guess, during your down time, but I wouldn't substitute real prep with reading The Economist.

Flip out your smart phone. Download the free version of The Economist. Each issue they send out a couple of free articles.
Next time you take a shit, whip out your phone and read free article(s).
