Powerscore Bible Question

Hello everyone,

I currently have the 2013 versions of the Powerscore LG and LR Bibles. While I was looking for the Reading Comprehension Bible, I noticed that there was a revised 2014 edition for each of the bible types. Would it be worth buying these revised versions or not? In other words, will the revisions be drastic enough to warrant purchasing?

No, you should be fine. They have an excerpt of the 2013 LG Bible on their website, and I have the 2014 edition. From what I can tell there doesn't seem to be a significant difference between the two.

I'm using the 2009 versions and I'm not concerned about it. You should be fine.

New additions are made to make the company more money.

The older edition is fine.

IIRC, the only substantial difference between the two is that the 2014 version has a brief section on rule substitution questions, and that otherwise it's pretty much the same book- I'm fairly certain I remember Jon Denning saying that in one of their free online seminar things. You should be fine with the 2013 versions and a brief additional review of the rule substitution stuff.

Imo, I don't think it will make a significant difference. But if I can give you my unsolicited opinion, I think you should read Mike's LSAT Trainer after you're done with powerscore. I'm not trying to knock powerscore but I found their methods and books to be for someone who is really just beginning to study and pretty basic. Mike's methods take you to the next level of understanding for the LSAT. Just my pair of lincolns.

I don't recall if equivalent rule and rule substitution are the same thing, but Manhattan has a guide on the former here if you choose to get the older PS book.
