Study Routine

I ordered my LSAT Trainer book and am awaiting it in the mail, but I just received my test book of LSAT tests 19-28. Should I just take the first test to see where I am without studying first? Or should I wait until I have the LSAT Trainer book and have done some review?
I'm planning on studying everyday and taking about 2 tests per week, saving the latest batch of tests for September.

You don't need to be taking two tests per week for quite a while. It's useful to have a cold diagnostic score just so you can know where you started, but the score itself won't mean anything. What other supplies are you getting? You won't want to use 19-28 (or anything before 38 at all) as full PTs, you'll use them for drilling.

As of now, just the LSAT Trainer. I didn't think I would need anything else? I heard it's a good book that covers everything.

You don't for now, right; sorry if that was confusing. You'll need to have every PT released, but not right away.

Yeah I plan to get the other PT's later. Money restrictions prevent me from getting them all at once. But I do plan on getting the recent ones in the near future.

Just drill drill and drill.
don't worry about full PT's
I got 5 days until the june exam and I'm still drilling.
throw in a PT every now and then, but most of your work should be drilling
after you've done lots of drilling
drill some more
and then when you wake up the next morning
drill again

I'm a little slow. Everyone hear says it, but what is drilling? Is that just reading and studying the books?

Practicing one type of question at a time. I.e. doing 30 flaw questions, making sure to identify the premises, conclusion(s), exactly why the answer you picked is correct, and exactly why the other 4 answers are wrong. Do them untimed, and do them often. You can get packets where questions are divided by type from Cambridge.

Once you feel you have a solid grasp on everything. start timing yourself.
Don't wait too long to introduce the aspect of time, but make sure to give yourself plenty of time to develop a foundation.

Thanks. I'm generally a fast worker. Going slow makes me lose focus.
