No.

Don't do a JD/MD.

Decide whether you want to take on hundreds of thousands of dollars for a career when you're a bit older and have life experience.

Take it when you feel ready. If you're hitting 170's plus and you want to take it I don't see why you shouldn't.

Why would you spend your only free summer cramming for the LSAT? Do something else. Your score is only good for 5 years, so I think taking it later will benefit you should your plans change along the way.

if you really have nothing better to do with your time/money this isn't the worst plan ever, but it's still not great. college may very well quash your med school aspirations, or spark an interest in something that will allow you to have a career without a $300k monkey on your back.

yeah it did.

Don't waste your time on grad admissions tests till later. You will probably change your mind several times within the next few years.

Do what you think is best.

None of us know you.

I think it could be a good idea, but I doubt you fit all the criteria that would make it a good idea.

But if you insist, may I ask what you plan to do with your JD/MD? Or is it just to show off that you're like, really smart? Because:

1) all that school will be pretty miserable, you're going to have 3 years of LS and 4 years of med school plus a residency. no matter how much you want people to think you're smart, you will not enjoy this.
2) there's not much crossover between careers in the fields
3) all things equal, MD > JD

Conclusion: Just get the MD if you enjoy both areas (logic and negotiation in addition to medicine and science)

Also, just FYI, your LSAT scores are only good for 5 years. I'm sure you're planning on K-JD-MD'ing, because you think that seems like a good idea at 17 or 18, but even if you're dead-set on it, you should at least wait until you're in college so your score will be good for more than one law school application cycle. What if you get some sort of super-prestigious fellowship at NIH that will make people know you're even smarter than going to law school? You will want to be able to go do that for a year or two.

May be, but your advice requires the assumption that I will probably change my mind several times within the next few years. Perhaps, but unlikely. I'd go into more detail, but it's not relevant to my question; i.e. my goal is JD/MD, should I take the LSAT now so I can concentrate on MCAT later?
No. Your score will be better after some college, and a 4+ year old LSAT score is probably a negative soft factor.

If I were you I would work after undergrad and take both tests, then apply.

No -- this is really silly idea. Smoking a lot of weed and buying the series box set of Scrubs would be a much better use of your time.

I take it you want to be a lawyer businessman doctor? Just pick one of the three once you're closer to graduating, as they're three pretty distinct career paths that really don't blend, at all.

Go do something way more interesting than the LSAT and stop burning practice that you may need later. Like others have said, your score is only good for 5 years, and there's a lot of stuff that can happen between now and when you graduate. You may change your mind and find that the MCAT is all you need to do what you want. Focus on getting yourself set up to do well in college first. Without that GPA, kiss getting into a good law school and/or med school goodbye.

Heh... thanks for the vote of confidence.
99% of high school students shouldn't even consider this.

Are you the 1 percent?

My only concern is that you haven't read enough. Logic Games would be fine with training, but for LR and RC I'd be concerned.

I'm not implying that you're a bad reader by any means. I just think you need to be exposed to a lot more text before taking a test like this.

Go get a degree in English, Philosophy, or History and then take this test. I think you'll be better off.

Absolutely. Then knock out your UG studies in 2.5 years and join your legal cohort at age 19. At that point you could realistically write a diversity statement re: your age and score some diversity dough
