My choice of words have begun to stray away from definite statements.
Also, "At least" has become my favorite pair of words.

You can find me resolving arguments by saying "but you are just saying that it is NECESSARY, it is by no means SUFFICIENT."
Seriously, I love those words now.

That's what I've been saying for weeks to people that keep trying to argue that 8+ million enrollments in Obamacare proves the law is a success/is working well/there is nothing more to debate/mission accomplished! People enrolling is only a necessary condition for the law/program to be able to work/cause the intended effects, it's not sufficient to prove it's working and has achieved the big picture goals the law was supposedly passed to accomplish; AKA more affordable better/accessible medical care for more people.
PS: Once you've become a 1L and for the rest of your life after that, get used to answering every question anyone asks once they know you're a law student/lawyer with the proper answer you'll be giving people every day for the rest of your life: "It depends". It drives people crazy and makes them hate lawyers! lol

This is exactly why the LSAT is more than a hoop to jump through to get into law school and that prep work you're doing is actually valuable. That precision of language and ability to spot the flaw in an opponents argument quickly and decisively will serve you well both in law school and in the practice of law.

My fav has to be "Well, you failed to consider...." in every single argument I've had with my SO. Pretty sure I'll be single soon.

I'm shocked that my SO, who is finishing up her last semester at college while I am at home having graduated last semester, has not thrown me to the curb yet. I am probably SO. ANNOYING.
She's a saint.

Wait till you're studying for the bar. I actually found myself analyzing an episode of Seinfeld for the elements of conspiracy!

I point out every invalid assumption my bf makes when we're arguing to piss him off.

I learned that the road to hell is paved with dinosaurs, snakes (this one I guess I knew already because Satan is supposedly a serpent) and lizards, seats on a bus, articles that have to be edited, airplanes from a company called Zephyr airlines, housing zones, and maybe some new and used CDs of a variety of genres.

Red is NECESSARY to make purple, but it is not SUFFICIENT because we also need blue.
