Writing Portion

How important is the writing portion on the test? I know it's not graded, but I heard schools still look at it. Should I be practicing that too?

Don't do something stupid like draw a picture or write gibberish, just in case a few adcoms do take a look (I think I read that one guy on Y's faculty review likes to read them), but don't stress over it either. As long as you write in complete sentences and form halfway coherent thoughts, it doesn't matter. The questions don't have right answers and the topics are innocuous.
Didn't someone one do a drawing on his writing section and then get into a bunch of T14s? Admittedly it was more of an illustration for his essay than aimless doodling but still.xylocarp wrote:No preparation is required. Maybe, I don't know. I still wouldn't do it though... seems like a lot of risk for basically zero possible reward.heythatslife wrote:Didn't someone one do a drawing on his writing section and then get into a bunch of T14s? This would be pretty bad-ass if someone did it
