Cambridge Packets are these Real LSAT questions?

So when I heard about Cambridge packets I was really stoked on having packets where I could drill LSAT questions by type and also by difficulty, but I was also hoping that they weren't real LSAT questions taken from past tests.

Because if they randomly pull questions from past tests and put them together in packets then it dilutes the value of taking full length practice exams because you might run into a logical reasoning section or game that you have already seen while drilling a Cambridge packet.

So my question is...

Are they official questions from the LSAT? I've heard all these people recommend them, but I'm already low on material enough as it is (since I'm retaking). So should I use Cambridge if they are real LSAT questions?

Well, you really don't want to practice on questions that aren't real LSAT questions. LSAC is very, very good at writing these questions, and no one else can replicate the questions closely enough to be worth practicing on.

I'm not too familiar with Cambridge packets but I know that they are real LSAT questions. However, I believe you can buy packets with questions drawn specifically from the earlier PTs so that you can take later PTs "fresh."

And lastly, it's really not the end of the world if you take a PT where you've seen a few of the questions before. The real purpose of a PT is to learn from it, not to get an absolutely 100% accurate idea of what you would've scored on that test under real test conditions. Yes, you should have at least some tests where you get as accurate an idea of your score as possible. But the overall benefit from drilling with the Cambridge packets is probably going to be greater than the drawback of repeating a little bit of material. (For more discussion on this topic, see the recent thread that was titled something like "concerns with BP LG book.")

They are real questions.

Buy the packets from pt 1-38 and reserve the rest (39-72) for full test drilling. You will be just fine if you go this route.
