FYI: Test Day Cancellations Due to Weather (AR, KY, OR)

Post by LMD » Fri Feb 07, 2014 7:23 pm

Hello all,

Some areas of the country are experiencing bad weather and LSAC has canceled tomorrow's test at some sites in Arkansas, Kentucky, and Oregon. Notably, Portland is still a go in Oregon but that could easily be canceled too. For those affected, the site to check is here: http://www.lsac.org/jd/lsat-cancellations

The current list of cancellations:

Arkansas
7600 University of Central Arkansas, Conway, AR
7602 University of Arkansas-Little Rock, Little Rock, AR

Kentucky
5901 University of Louisville, Louiville, KY

Oregon
9450 University of Oregon, Eugene, OR
9455 Chemeketa Community College, Salem, OR
9456 Corban University, Salem, OR
9459 MT. Hood Community College, Gresham, OR

LSAC has not sent out e-mails in the past. The page linked above explains what they do in the event your administration is canceled, but inexplicably they apparently do not send out mass e-mails to those who are registered and affected.

If you are in Portland or any other area affected by inclement weather, check the site before you head out.

Good luck to all who will be taking the test tomorrow!

As someone taking the Portland LSAT tomorrow morning (PCC Southeast), I can confirm that PCC has announced all its campuses and centers closed tomorrow. While LSAC has not cancelled the LSAT yet, I don't see how the hell they would manage to give the test if the campus is closed.

So... I don't know if anyone has heard of this happening before, but the Portland LSAT never got officially cancelled despite the test center (Portland Community College) closing due to the storm. A bunch of us waited in our cars for 45+ minutes after braving the bad roads while LSAC tried to get a hold of our proctor.

That never happened, and LSAC eventually told us via phone that we should go home and that we would have our test rescheduled.

WTF??
I suspect our proctor must have died, or is a huge dick.

not gonna lie i half-suspected this thread to be a trick to convince people the LSAT had been cancelled
