Canceling before Test Date

If I cancel a few days prior to the Feb LSAT, does this count as a take and will schools see it? I am not sure if I will be ready for it by then, but if canceling counts as an attempt, I might as well take it for the experience since we only get 3 tries before the 2 year wait period. Also, is there a time period of when I have to cancel by?

It doesn't count as a take and schools are never told about you having been registered if you withdraw your registration to take the test before midnight ET the day before the test. The only harm is you lose the reg fee and have to pay full price again to register for a later administration, no harm to your record or available re-takes.

Thank you! So is the only negative the loss of $165?
