DEC 2013 Advice PLEASE on cancelling/keeping score

I just took the Dec 2013 LSAT last Saturday and had a hard time with it. I didn't finish the section that I needed to get all right in order for me to get some kind of respectable score. In addition, I don't think/my gut instinct tells me that the other sections didn't go so well either since my mind was so distraught by that section. I am asking for serious advice (not rude comments or anything, I've heard enough from everyone else) on what to do. However, this is the big catch. I already have a canceled score that I took from February 2012.

So, If I cancel again, this would be the second time I cancel and also with a year in between each. What would be the "better" option of the two. Keeping the crummy score with a cancel (the score would not be any higher than a 145) or having two canceled score on my record; although I know it would raise red flags and it would be extremely difficult to explain in an addendum. I’m torn because if I don’t cancel, schools will see a canceled score, a year a later a crummy score, then who know what I’ll get the last time.

PLEASE advise, since the dead for score cancellation is coming up. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about the test. How did you prepare/what were you scoring on PTs? Are you planning on applying this cycle?

I used the bible for both logical reasoning and games. I took as many preptests that I could get my hands on. I was PTing around 160s or so. I am not planning on applying this term. I am hoping to take it again in June. Any advice on what to do with the score? Thanks!!

What happened that you are predicting ~145 coming from 160 PT scores? It would have to be more than just one bad section compared to usual unless you literally blind guessed an entire section to knock a score down that much.

If 145 is somewhat accurate, you should cancel for sure and form a better study plan to prep for June than what you did before.

More importantly, figure out what is wrong with your current approach/process that allowed for such a big performance difference/failure on test day so you can fix it.

Do you really want to attend law school?

Did u take the 60s pts? Are u saying u got around 160 on your first take? If you did, cancel. If you didn't, you might want to consider your options for 145 since it probably will reflect your actual skills.

This is out of scope. OP is going to retake and hopefully do much better.

If you're not applying this cycle, then I'd probably cancel. Take your time and nail the test in June. Don't take it until you feel really confident in the timed/pressure setting. You've got this. :D

Thank you all so so much!
I decided to cancel my score and continue on studying.
