I don't want to spend too much money on prep books. Is LG bible and LR bible sufficient to get me to 170+ along with of course all the practice exams?

That worked for me. That got me into the 170s. I also used RC Bible, SuperPrep, and free Manhattan LSAT blog explanations to get myself into higher 170s.

I suggest replacing LR Bible with Manhattan LR. LR Bible actually dropped me a few points while Manhattan LR pushed me up quite a few to break the 170 barrier (consistently).

it worked for me, but i'd still recommend at least checking out some other resources because you may feel more comfortable with different types of tactics.

It would extremely short sighted of you to not buy at least the psbs, Manhattan bundle, and drilling material

Kinda depends on who you are, right? How could anyone really answer this question without knowing where you're starting from?

Unless you're just asking if all practice exams plus the LG/LR bibles is enough material to get anyone a 170+...

Yes. I support switching manhattan lr for lrb. Also, use 7sage.com for videos of every lg ever, and use its pt scorer to track what lr types are giving you trouble. One of the guides on here suggests this for lr: when u miss one, type it up as a flash card where you write the question on one side, then bend behind it why what you answered was wrong, and why the correct answer is right.

But yeah it would be good to know your diagnostic

My experience was similar. The practice that I got while completing the LG Bible allowed me to go from -7 to -10 to -0 to -2, but I think that was more due to natural ability. I never bothered with anything else except the 7Sage videos.

I think the LR Bible classifies too much. Go with Manhattan.

Also, focus on drilling. Do Manhattan LR and buy the Cambridge 40-60 set. This will help with timing.

I actually liked Powerscore, but then again there might be a slight bias because it was my first prep book. Powerscore LG gave me the fundamentals I needed, Manhattan helped to push me further. I personally used methods from both books, although most of my tactics were from Manhattan. It is also worth noting that Powerscore recently came out with a new LG book. It's supposed to be updated and much thicker. For reading order, I think you can start with either.

Like LG, I used Powerscore and Manhattan for LR. I thought they both offered methods that complemented one another. While for LG it was more like a pick and choose which method/system of diagramming to use, for LR, I thought Powerscore and Manhattan built upon one another. There were some useful tricks that I found in the Powerscore book that weren't mentioned in Manhattan. However, on the whole, I feel like I benefited more from Manhattan. Manhattan goes more in-depth and helps to lay down the fundamentals. If I were to choose an order, I would say read Manhattan LR first, and then Powerscore.

Whatever books you choose, I recommend picking up prep books from at least two different companies.

Only used practice tests and a little bit of powerscore bibles and Manhattan LR strategy book. Got 172 in the Oct LSAT.
Totally possible.
