Help with simple conditional satetment

Can you please, so kindly, assist in translating the following sentence into a if-then condition:
Only after the transfer can important new therapies help patients.
It's from Pt3,LRB,#22.
The answer to the question hinges on this one sentence of the stimilius.
My guess is: If new therapies help patients then it has been transferred
?

The trick with only is that you have figure out what only is referring to and that will lead you to the necessary condition.
In this case, only refers to "the transfer" because you have to have the transfer in order to "help patients". So the transfer (T) is our necessary condition, leaving helping patients (HP) as the sufficient condition.
HP -> T
So yes, you are correct.

And the easiest way to do that:
"Only/only if/only when" refer to whatever comes immediately after that phrase.
"The only" refers to the term after what comes after the phrase.
Or, in easier language:
Only/only if/only when = necessary condition after it
The only = sufficient condition after it
