PT29 - S4 - Q8, this one is killing me..

I understand why D is the correct answer, but what's wrong about A?
If we negate A, which is "The wildflower currently reproduces not only by forming seeds",which means there are other ways to reproduce, then why do we have to introduce daisy? Doesn't this destroy the argument itself?

There are other ways to reproduce, but the argument still tells me that hybridization is the only means of preventing the total loss of the wildflower. So I don't care how we make that hybridization happen - seeds, leaf clippings, or some other method - as long as it happens.
