Is there any better approach to LR/RC studying than PTing?

Constant exposure to each question type to internalize the exam's language.
I have the LR Bible but I think it could be holding me back (stalling my progress). Maybe I just get bored working with a certain style of question for several days a week.
What has been your experience?

Constant exposure, yes. PT'ing, not necessarily.

My only concern on RC drilling is how do you go about tackling the comparative reading sections? They're here to stay but drilling them or practicing them clearly will deprive you having fresh PT material leading up to test day. How do you guys toe this line?

imo those PTs are the most useful because they're the most similar to the ones you'll be taking on test day. what I did was PT them first and then drill them later. Plenty of other PTs you could be taking RC passages from.

Also, most people find the comparative to be a bit easier. They're shorter, so there isn't as much room to develop arguments. Each one usually has a single viewpoint that's backed up by one set of evidence.
If you can keep track of 2 viewpoints in a single passage, you should be able to keep track of 2 viewpoints in two passages. Might even be easier, since the passage won't keep hopping back and forth between them.
