Discouraged

I've taken a Kaplan course, worked through 7 practice tests and spend all nights and weekends drilling and working through powers core bible. Still missing 7-10 every section. What am I doing wrong???

-been doing this consistently ( as much as possible while working and being in school simultaneously) for about 8 months!

Definition of insanity: doing the same thing and expecting different results.- exactly what I feel like I'm doing.

Plenty of people have come here asking this. Diversify your bonds (Buy Manhattan LR/LSAT Trainer)

I'd recommend the LSAT Trainer, the Manhattan LR/LG and even RC, and a little structure.

Also, take a look at this page:

get a tutor or the LSAT trainer.

the methods kaplan teaches are awful. I know this from experience :(

Manhattan for RC, Powerscore for LR and AR. Review your foundational knowledge, I was surprised to return to the basics and find out what I had forgotten. I had a cold diag 137, to a poorly prepped exam at 148, and a 161 this october that I worked my bum off for, keep it up buddy.

I scored 147 on diagnostic and nearly threw my dinner table out my apartment window. It took a lot of pulling teeth but I've gotten myself to PTing in the 168-171 range. Forget what kaplan taught you (trust me, i almost fell for that one), and just keep working through the bibles, bring in some LSAT trainer to plug the holes and then get yourself into drilling extensively.

It's going to take some time, but if you work at it hard enough it will come. If it were easy, everyone would be a lawyer, but it rewards you for putting in the effort, which is more than can be said for some other standardized tests.

It sounds like you didn't take enough practice tests. Try doing closer to 15-20. Practice always help!

I absolutely would not recommend PS for LR. Given that you already have somewhat of a foundation in LSAT material, I also probably wouldn't do the PS LGB-go with Manhattan, 7Sage, and possibly Velocity for games. After reading the Manhattan RC book, if you're still struggling, get the Trainer.
