Going from low 90 raw score to high 90s

I’m stuck in the low 90s raw score and no particular section seems to be troubling. It’s always a careless error on a game or a couple gimme LR’s gone wrong because of haste and then I end up with a −7 on the PT and a 173. I think I’ve plateaued as well, my RS/SS range on the six PTs I’ve taken have been 87 − 95/169-176. I’m a retaker from Feb.

I’m unsure whether I should just drill all the different Cambridge packets or do PT after PT. My goal is 175 in December.

Thanks guys/girls!

Brother Mouzone!

You could try going through LR sections and doing just the last 10 questions. Do three sections like that in a row in 40 minutes. You've really got to be in the zone to do those hard Qs quickly, and this will make it easier to concentrate and be efficient on LR, not to mention hone your skills.

Seriously, after a few weeks of this, I looked forward to LR so I could crush it.

You eliminate these mistakes by getting your timing down to the point that you not only have time to go through each question and get to an answer, but also to check those answers against the stimulus. "Checking the parts," so to speak.

Thanks for the helpful comments, friends. Bobtheblob I really like the drill you suggested — haven’t heard of it yet. Will be finishing Cambridge’s Flaw packet and then starting that drill. (Could be useful for first 10 as well as rushing sometimes costs me a gimme point on LR)
