............I (like many others, I'm sure) would consistently score a 180 untimed. alas, untimed scores are not indicative of absolutely anything.

Untimed PTs are an indicator of nothing.

Thanks.
I don't think you have a shot at Georgetown with a 3.5/162.

If you didn't study after the June LSAT, why would you expect to improve. Buckle down and study for next June, and apply next cycle.

Know thy enemy. The LSAT is not merely a test of logic, reasoning, and comprehension; it is a test of how accurately you can apply these attributes AT SPEED. The two types of people who don't score 180 are 1) dumb people and 2) slow people. You're capable of 172, so make it happen.

Retake. In Bocca Al Lupo.

If you want to go to a better law school than the ones your current numbers put you in range for, you must re-take. The other options are give up going to law school or change your goals and lower your standards for which schools you'd be willing to settle for. Since settling for a lower quality lower ranked school to avoid having to spend lots more time prepping really hard for the LSAT again is a really bad way to pave the road to your future, you should form a new study method to actually figure out your weaknesses and fix them along with doing lots of practice and review.

Why didn't you prep more before your second test? It kinda worries me along with the fact that you are considering not re-taking since it kinda shows a lack of the level of motivation need to get into and do well in T14 LSs. It makes it appear you aren't super serious about and dedicated to get into T14. It's fine if you aren't and are willing to settle for less, but why give up on the chance now when you have another re-take left that you could actually prep for this time?
