I know that this is truly an unnecessary question (or even stupid for that sake), but I sometimes wonder why the prep tests A, B, C and June 2007 deviate from the norm and are called that way, instead of the usual numeric designations (ex: pt 1, 2, 3.. etc).

I've also noticed that PT A, B, C (especially their LG sections) are unusually hard :'(

Can anyone answer?
I don't know why I am asking this.. but I am just being curious.

Those PTs are actually the SuperPreps. They come in the SuperPrep book which provides all of the solutions.

these are february tests that were alot harder than other pts in that range (at least I thought)
