165 with no class, would a class be worth it?

Hi all,

I took the Dec 2013 LSAT and scored a 165. I averaged a 168-9 on the practice tests and the Logic Games were the only sections that gave me trouble. Unfortunately I took the test overseas so I can't see how I fared by section but I assume that the Logic Games section was to blame for my drop, I had more trouble with it then I expected.
I self-studied using the Logic Games Bible text and the official practice tests. Can a class significantly help my score past this point? Any advice?

Thank you.

While a class can help with LG, I believe classes are usually more worthwhile for people scoring in the 15X and below range. Classes mostly help build a strong foundation, which someone who scored a 165 probably already has. If you believe you need something other than self study, you might benefit more from a tutor at this point.

buy the book with preptest 29-38.

do every logic game in this book five times each.

watch the 7sage video on youtube for every game

this is the best class you can take. I think it costs roughly $29.99 and maybe some shipping and handling.

good luck.

oh... and may the odds forever be in your favor

If you're able to time travel into the future, you'll be able to improve on the LSAT.

Since your problem is on Logic Games, a class might actually help. I don't believe anyone is ready for the real thing until they start putting up at least -2 on LG. It's by far the most learnable section on the test.

No need for a class at 165, just buy the Cambridge sets and profit.

Velocity LSAT all day. Its exactly what you need if you go anything but -0 on games, regardless of score. I actually took velocity to retake my 165.

Yes. I got a 173 on my first test and still benefited from a good instructor.
