Did anyone else get killed on this section? I usually have a -1 to -3 range on RC but I ended up getting 8 wrong here and after reviewing it seemed like probably the most difficult RC i have seen. Did anyone else feel this way? Just hoping that im not starting to regress and that this was just an outlier. The "cakewalk" passage in particular gave me issues.

lol, took the test three days ago and RC just fucken killed me. I went -7 total on LR1, LG, LR2 and got -13 on RC. I was like wtf? I usually go -7 to -5 and, admittedly, have to work on RC but -13 is just redic. It definitely fazed me and I'm reviewing RC tonight.
ETA: My bad, I that was PT 53, not 54. 54 I scored a -5; granted, I've read the passages prior to taking pt 53 a few months ago.

I'm on the same boat as you. Reading Comprehension is my worst section so far but I absolutely got destroyed in PT 54. I usually get -8 but in this instance I got -13.
Going to see if doing a timed RC section everyday will help.

I found the first three passages fairly straightforward but the Groupthink passage was a killer. Particularly because it is at the end and I only had about 11-12 minutes left. It's a DENSE, roundabout passage. I think I got -4 on that passage alone.

Mine have been consistently -3 and on this one I went -7. Groupthink slaughtered me too. Definitely one of the hardest reading sections I have seen.

I found the first three passages very straightforward and the first passage took all of five minutes. I think the trick here is that the test makers expect you to finish the first three on pace but they set up that last groupthink passage to make it a pain in the butt. I think reading that passage one isn't sufficient unless you read very slowly.

...am I the only one that was rocked by the oil drilling passage? Maybe I'm just not used to the passage A vs B thing yet, or maybe it was the fact that it was on OIL DRILLING, but this one rocked me up and down

There were some damn tricky Rock (pun intended) questions from that passage. Some difficulty and subtle deductive logic/inference questions.

The oil comparatives stumped me a lot, though I didn't miss any there. 2/3 misses came on the last passage (the other on cakewalk). Interestingly, the last passage piqued my interest a lot, and I thought it was a good read. I also thought I had a firm understanding of it. However, I only hit 6/8. I wasn't rushed at all either, given that I had 11 mins going into it. 22 was one of my misses. And without giving too much away, all I'll say is that I was extremely confident as I selected the answer. But I'm completely stumped by why it's not right and why another answer is credited. Anybody want to message me about this one?

lol I actually looked for a topic like this after I took 54, but didn't didn't find one. I did ok on the section, I missed 3 or 4, but I definitely felt this was a harder RC. I actually felt like the entire test was one of the harder ones. Turns out I actually did as well as I normally do...a little better than normal actually, but this entire test felt harder to me.
