Hello,
I am a 5th year political science student. I am Latino male. I have around a 2.8 gpa. I want to go to a top 20 law school. I want to apply to law school this fall. My practice lsat scores have been between 153-158. I already have the Powerscore bibles. Should I take a LSAT prep course? Should I study for the October LSAT or the December LSAT? If I do wait for the December LSAT, should I just wait to apply until the next cycle?

Study hard now and make the call whether to sit for the October lsat in about 6 weeks.

Use the guides in the stickies. Pithypike and noodleys are very credited. No prep course necessary.

Also, T20 is not a thing. Its just an arbitrary line drawn on an arbitrary ranking system.

What kind of Latino are you?

I am a Mexican American from a low income family. I am from South Central LA.

I would like to go to a really good law school in the East Coast or UCLA, USC, Loyola, or Berkeley.

Berkeley basically isnt going to happen with a 2.8

Loyola's prospects are not good. You probably shouldn't go there.

You need to get very close to UCLA/USC's median for a good shot. Hitting median would help your chances dramatically.

My friend got USC with money as a MA 3.0/167 last cycle.
