Health law question

Post by banerkguy » Wed Jul 24, 2013 9:02 pm

Do you need a chemistry, biology, ect. back ground to be a successful health lawyer?

Would not having a back ground in science hurt your internship opportunities?

If by health lawyer you mean someone that advises and litigates on behalf of hospitals, then no. Generally, only patent lawyers are required to have an engineering background.

Thank you for the respose. I'm trying to decide if I should use my economics degree and expereince in banking (financials and credit) to go into corporate law. Health law greatly interests me though.
