Intellectual property law - is an MBA worth it?

I plan on concentrating in intellectual property law. I'm inquiring if the MBA is worth doing to supplement the JD. Other area's of interest include mergers and aquisitions and tax.
Basically, is it worth the extra debt? Are job prospects better for a JD that has the MBA also?
Thanks.

I would think you would want something technical, like engineering for IP. MBA probably makes more sense for M & A, while an LLM in tax would be better than an MBA or MS in accounting.

I think for IP you need an advanced STEM degree, but you might get more help in the "Choosing a Law School" forum. (This one is for LSAT preparation.)

Probably not.
IP LIt - nope
Patent Prosecution - nope
If you wanna buy and sell patents, yea probably, but you might wanna skip the JD part.
