if I BR a PT and get my target score, is this useful info?

is it useful? or is it kinda of useless since I used unlimited time.

I could see, maybe it means that without time constraints, this is my true understanding of the test?

Blind review, sorry (just go over and focus on accuracy without a time limit)

If your target score is 180, then sure, it means you've more or less mastered the material. Otherwise, not really. You should be perfect or close to it working without a time limit.

How is hitting your goal on a timed test, with no time, indicative of anything. I mean, I guess its better than not hitting your goal...but that's it.

It is useful. It means that you understand the material (provided that you do very well on the PT), but you can't do it fast enough.

Then you find out why you get shit wrong under a time constraint; and then you fix it.

More of your faulty reasoning process come out when under pressure. Especially time pressure.

I find that on a higher level, the test is always trying to weed out those who cannot filter out all unnecessary thought-processes.

If you take LG for an example, not timing it would miss the whole point of doing the LG. The point is to see how fast and efficient you can be with your diagramming/inferences. So if someone were to brute force hypo the whole thing and get 23/23, it wouldn't really tell us too much.

LR on the other hand, would show that you have a grasp of the concept if you are given enough time. But I get questions right in 3 minutes sometimes in LR and I know that I'm as good as wrong. I only want to do it in 1 minute, and this particular question somehow got me to cycle through all the useless thoughts before arriving to the answer.

I think that if you did well in BR that's great. But the timing aspect will always be a big part of the test where it will differentiate you on every single level of the curve.

Also, I think if I went untimed (but still trying to do thigns quickly) at the moment I would score like roughly 10 points higher than if I went timed at 35 minutes a section. It kind of shows that if I can just toughen up my existing thought processes and weed out the wrong ones, i'll have a clear improvement already. But getting to 175+, i imagine is more than that, and i'm no where near it still.
