2.73, 173.. Question about ED

This isn't really a "What are my chances thread". It's more of a "Where is the best place to ED being a Splitter,"

2.73 GPA (God awful I know)
173 LSAT
2 years work expereince (Fortune 500 bank)
2 years part of 501(c) non-profit
Basic volunteering/greek life college experience

With stats like these, crap GPA and pretty good LSAT, where would be the best places to ED?

Northwestern
Cornell
UPENN
Virginia
Georgetown

Thanks for any advice!

What do you mean by "part of a non-profit"? Did you work there, volunteer there, serve on the board...?

Use the search function. HTH

ETA: You're probably a ding at all of those except NU. I'd add WUSTL/GULC also.

If applying ED instead of RD, its a ding at NU. Idk enough to really speculate further though

You basically have 0% chance at Northwestern ED ($50K scholarship, their average is 3.8/172).

Virginia is 15 day, favorable to ED candidate. I would ED Virginia and be ready to ED Georgetown after that. I think Cornell is EA, not ED (last year)

my understanding is ED at NU includes full ride scholly and requires higher stats than RD

This years Cornell app indicates an ED option.

Unfortunately it feels like that because you are. Fortunately you have that 172 to save you from being relegated to T2 and below.

Unfortunately the schools on your list are all long shots with your GPA, but UVA and G-town are reasonably within reach. You need to make sure your app is polished really well with an excellent PS and hopefully strong LORs to get past the stigma created by your GPA.

Is your GPA from a hard sciences or other difficult major? I hope you have a good story to try to explain away the GPA, such as a really strong and big upward trend and just a few bad dead weight grades from early UG years.

Basically I failed accounting my second semester of college and had 3 D's in classes that I thought would be easy intro classes (Chem 1)

I have an economics degree, and a 3.33 economics GPA. I didn't receive lower than a B in any quantitative class.

I have a strong upward trend my last two years (3.33 overall as well). I don't know if that will help or not

So after some reading. I think my best course of action would be to ED UVA (15 day reponse), and if I get dinged, ED Georgetown.

Then throw RD Hail Marry's to Vanderbilt, Cornell.

Target : Emory, UNC, GW, and Wake. (I'm a North Carolina resident)

Think this is a good plan? Thanks for the advice guys.
