157 diagnostic

So because I was bored and usually can't fall asleep on Sunday nights, I figured instead of just looking at Youtube videos for awhile I'd take a practice LSAT test. as the title says, I scored a 157. This was my first time ever looking at the type of questions, and my worst section was the logic games; I missed 9 (had to look up what all four were called) Even here, it seems as though there are varying opinions about how much a score can go up. I'll only be entering my freshman year of college in the fall is there anything I should do more with the LSAT for awhile or just worry about grades and just look at this original score as a starting block before I start studying in a few years. Just curious, thanks!

Find some way to get a 4.0 and also have tons of fun, don't even think about the LSAT for at least three years.

That and realize that you have other options to consider before attending law school.

Lol start studying your junior year, get 4.0, preferable in STEM, and don't even think about this shit til years from now.

don't go to law school if you are a freshman in college and have other options. major in econ, engineering, finance, comp sci, or math. you'll thank me down the line breh

Your goal should be to graduate with a 4.0 in a major that can help you get a job if you don't go to law school.
About your diagnostic however, a huge percentage of TLS users scored in the mid to high 150s on diagnostic and ended up with 170s on the real test after studying.

thanks everyone, this makes me more optimistic that I'll be able to raise my scores in a few years.
For the record, I know the general consensus about not going to law school for most people, and this website has been awesome in helping me see the risks. I know it's made me wanna strive for HYS or another top school with $ and has shown me the importance of grades and the LSAT. As far as a backup plan, I've worked full time at a consulting firm for two years and like it. I'll also be minoring or majoring in Econ and I understand it may not be the best decision for me to go to law school if my grades/scores aren't good enough. I'm excited to do well in school and study for the LSATS in a few years. thanks again!

and yes, I timed myself I finished with about 5 minutes left in the logic sections and the reading section and didn't go back I just stopped the timer, which I know is dumb and could have saved me a few points. On the logic games, I ran out of time with 3 questions unanswered

4.0 is versatile. Get that and then if you want the LSAT afterwards, I'm sure you'll go for it then. btw 157 is a great starting point if you ask me.
