Hello, I just finished my first year of college.
Planning oon taking lsat 2 years from now (june 2015)
so the quarter before the test i will take an absence from school.

1. Is this a good idea?
2. Am I starting too early to study ( i only plan to do a few hours each week this summer, get my feet wet)?
3. What is a good introductory book?

Now to clarify for number 3, I have done my research and have used the search function on this site (I like to search before I ask a question), but I am not sure. Some people say testmasters but isnt that course only? others say powerscore, but all of the books are seperate and I am looking for a one in all for now.

thanks for answers!

Two years should give you enough study time to not have to take an absence, a few hours a week is PAINFULLY slow for the LSAT, all-in-one books generally suck balls, and you should get the Manhattan guides. Good luck.

Just read a nonfiction book every week or two for the next year. Come back to this thread in June 2014 for year long study plan.
