I took the course cold and thought it was a great way to start my lsat prep. That being said, you're not going to benefit much if you're currently scoring in the 170s. You'll be in a class with people PTing in the 140s and 150s mostly, and more of the material will be targeted towards them. You'd be better off spending money on a tutor if you're really looking to spend money on live LSAT prep.

I took the online weekend course. It was literally a brief review of each bible.

If you're already in that range, which is great, I strongly recommend you don't take the class. I read both bibles (LR & LG) before the class and saw no significant improvement even though I did most of the homework. The books you use in the class are basically the bibles. I say you buy MLSAT LG if that section is giving you the most trouble.
