Hi all,

So I just made this TLS account and I am looking to find both a TLS online LSAT study partner and a (hopefully high scoring) LSAT mentor (and I was hoping that these two people could be seperate individuals).

I just took a diagnostic and it was not very good (148) but I have what at least appears to be a pretty good GPA (3.90 and I have completed my degree). So I am planning on studying the LSAT hard and getting a decent score (I'd like to shoot for a 165 or above). I ahve studied for the test before in the past (at times quite a lot) so I guess this is not a true cold diagnostic, but nonetheless I am starting my studying again going forward and am looking to do effective practice going forward so as to improve to get a decent score.

I am also in no real rush to take the LSAT. I would rather study until I am ready to take the test, I just wanted to include this case it was relevant for anyone wanting to be my partner/mentor.

I have a pretty solid work ethic and once I get into my studying I should be going pretty hard with it (hopefully clocking in 20+ hours a week). So I am looking for online partners that will both push and help me, and I can hopefully provide some help as well as I get better.

Someone's bound to say it, so I'll just say it first.

Your GPA is spec-fucking-tacular. Keep in mind that the LSAC calculates GPA differently though, but I think that with a 3.90, there shouldn't be a big difference. Use one of those LSAC GPA calculators just to make sure what your "real" GPA is though.

165? You should be aiming 170+. I don't know the exact numbers, but I believe a mid 170s can get you into HYS with that GPA.

You should definitely be aiming for 170+. That GPA would go to waste otherwise.

There are generally threads open for people who are working on the same test to commiserate, share progress, and prove tips for one another for each administration of the test. The October 2013 thread is here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 6&t=203636 It's not exactly the same as having a dedicated study buddy, but it's effectively like having a large number of TLSers as your study group, and I think many find it helpful.
