Can Law Schools Access your LSAT Score Before You Can?

I got a strange email today. I received an email from a law school telling me that, based on the info they'd received about me from LSAC, they were inviting me to apply for admission, and for a scholarship. The implication from the wording they used was that they'd received my stats. But I only just took the LSAT last Monday.

I'd have brushed this email off as the normal "apply here" spam, except for the wording, which made it stand out from the others I'd received. It really read like they've seen my stats. And then someone I was speaking with online mentioned she'd gotten a similarly worded one from another school, also received today. She said she hasn't even registered for the CRS yet. She'd just taken the LSAT as well.

So now I'm wondering...

Can law schools access your LSAT score before you can? Or is this just your typical spamish email?

I don't think it's even possible for them to have processed the scores yet. I don't think LSAT sets everything up and decides to wait two weeks until sending the results out.

Nope, they can't access it before you can.

The email is spam(ish).

I received an email like that too this afternoon. So I called the admissions office and the way I understand it is that they are only sent to the people that meet their admissions requirement provided by LSAC, but I couldn't get any specific information as to what those requirements include. It makes me curious too because the only info LSAC has of mine is my GPA besides the lsat I took this past Monday.
I know that the GMAT gets graded within a week, it doesn't make any sense that it takes three weeks to grade the lsat when they're both standardized computer graded tests!

Isn't the GMAT a computerized test? Not a paper test like the LSAT... Apples to oranges?

It may be now, I'm not sure. I know my friend took theirs last year and it was on paper like the lsat and she still got her results in four days.

What school? Some of the TTTs find people with good GPAs to solicit regardless of LSAT.

I received the same email and haven't even sent my transcripts to LSAC yet...

It seems they just word their emails to entice students.

It obviously works because it was the only one I didn't immediately delete! Lol like I needed any additional stressors waiting to get my lsat score back! :)

These guys are good with their marketing. It certainly cut through the clutter!

Most of the schools that do that are really crappy schools. Michigan State's LST report is 39% employment. I think it would fall into that category.
