Retaking (169 in 2010) to get 172-175. Couple questions.

I took the LSAT as a junior in undergrad in June 2010 and got a 169. I was PTing at around 172-170. My GPA is a 3.94 so I believe a 169 is definitely holding that back.

If I want to shoot for a score between 172-175 for October, what should I be PTing at to feel comfortable with retaking? 178 consistently?

Also, I worked hard for my 169, but I believe the Kaplan course plus having a full semester workload hindered me somewhat. If I self study with Powerscore/Manhattan, is scoring a 172-175 a reasonable goal?

1. 178 would be sufficient, 174+ necessary. Luck plays a noticeable factor in scores above 175+, so I wouldn't postpone the test if you are getting straight 175s.

2. yes, granted you supplement your work with tons of drilling and prep testing.
