You're definitely over thinking this. There is nothing unique about June tests.

June tests historically have had the tightest curve (and supposedly the easiest questions)

That the only reason I can think of, some people do better with June tests, some prefer the looser curve/harder questions of Dec.

Generally high scorers do better with lenient curves 'cause the questions you miss are due to silly errors or momentary brain farts. But, you're also definitely over thinking this.

Your score drop is still within the margin of error (3 points above and below, technically called the "score band"). IMO, it's not a significant drop. Also, 2 tests out of 14 is not a particularly large sample.

What happened with regard to the other June tests you took out of those 14 (if there were any)?

Based on what you've already written, I wouldn't read anything into what happened here.
