What is the credited energy drink for LSAT studying?
I went to Costco and bought this:
I bought it mainly because I sometimes need dat energy boost when I study. It works well and I don't get a crash nor do I feel jittery when it's in my system.
I want to know if there are better energy drinks for LSAT study time. Please don't say redbull cause that is SO TTTT.

Re: Credited energy drink for studying
I've only just started studying for the LSAT, but during school, I would have a routine where I took this pseudo-caffeine pill before studying for big exams (e.g., finals) and for the tests themselves. The pill was actually this supposed fat burner thing (I know, weird), but all I know is that it really helped in getting me into the zone. Even just plain caffeine pills seem to help me--for some reason, people are leery of caffeine pills even though it's basically just caffeinated soda/coffee without the sugar. No crash or jitters either.
I'm wary of energy drinks because I don't want to feel like I have to go to the bathroom halfway through the test.

Do you drink your energy drink before PTing? Or only when drilling? Or what?
Btw, Starbucks Double Shot Energy is the shit... if you like coffee flavored drinks. There white mocha flavor and vanilla are da bomb.
Or, I use Cellucor C4 Preworkout for energy because I usually study after going to the gym.

Definitely do not take one prior to the real thing. I usually drink an energy drink when I need to after hours of studying. But other than that I'm good.Suralin wrote: I'm wary of energy drinks because I don't want to feel like I have to go to the bathroom halfway through the test.

Tried 5 hour once before a PT; was jittery as shit, couldn't even finish the PT. Haven't used anything since then.

Re: Credited energy drink for studying
The fat burner pill I take for intense studying is actually like a cross between a plain caffeine pill and a pre-workout like Jack3d; it works really well for me. Agreed, caffeine pills are the shit. And yeah, legit concern, I would just incorporate it into a PT routine so you get used to it and get the psychological benefits of state-dependent learning as well.sublime12089 wrote:Suralin wrote:I've only just started studying for the LSAT, but during school, I would have a routine where I took this pseudo-caffeine pill before studying for big exams (e.g., finals) and for the tests themselves. I like the caffeine pill a lot. Sometimes I even will take one or two as a pre-workout. The type I have are 200mg, were like .05 a pill and don't come with all the other bullshit. I will use that or drink coffee when tired and studying, although I am concerned that because I don't drink caffeine THAT much, it could make me jittery and I don't want to risk it on a real test.

I believe it's called Adderall, with a bit of propranolol and Ativan to calm the nerves.

What dose of theanine do you take with it, and how often do you take it?t-14orbust wrote:Caffeine(100mg) + theanine
I swear by this combo, the caffeine brings alertness and the theanine calms nerves and jitteriness so that you're in the zone.

I heard Adderall sucks for logical reasoning and logic games.LDVM4334 wrote:I believe it's called Adderall, with a bit of propranolol and Ativan to calm the nerves.

Probably good for reading comp since you can retain vast amounts of information quickly.

Re: What is the credited energy drink for LSAT studying?
In all honesty, I used 5 hour energy shots for practice exams and for the actual exam. I didn't use drugs as my drug use has been purely recreational. Then again, I didn't do that great on the LSAT. Instead, I dominated 1L, transferred, graduated, and am now studying for the bar exam. Which brings me to my next point: Law school sucks. The studying never ends.

I think it was like ~$27.99sublime12089 wrote:Btw Dre, how much did that run you at Costco and what was the count? I have a membership too, and may be open to trying them.
and you get 30 packets but you must use half every-time. So you basically get 60 shots of energy drink.
