I know there's a 10-15 minute break between sections 3 and 4. But what's the timing like between the other sections?

Is it more like this:
3... 2... 1... "Ok time's up, please stop working on this section. [5 second speech on not going back, etc]. Please turn to the next section and begin"

Or is it more like this:
3... 2... 1... "Ok time's up, please turn to the next section and begin"

I know it sounds like it doesn't make a difference but in the first case, there's at least a 5ish second break when the proctor is giving his spiel to mentally adjust, but literally no time in the second case. I'm using Manhattan's free proctor which is more like the first scenario (10 seconds) and wanted to know if that was accurate for test day.

I would think it's likely in the 15-30 second range.

Is best to finish a section 30s-1min early, so you have sometime to refresh your mind to tackle something completely different.

As I recall from my first test, it's immediate. Along the lines of, "Time is now up. Please turn to the next section, you will have 35 minutes to complete this section, you may begin."

It's supposed to be back to back, stop section X, no gap, start section Y and is that way in most test centers but some proctors do pause for a few seconds between saying stop and start, so it just depends on luck of the draw at your test center with the proctor you get.

I seem to remember there being a relatively lengthy script the proctor gives announcing the end of one section and the beginning of the next. It's all immediate, but done so in a way where you can kind of re-boot a little bit.
