2+ weeks of full-time studying to a high 170?
I'm currently scoring in the high 160s, but I've taken only five practice tests. I've been studying on and off since January and have access to TestMasters' online resources. I just finished PT 54 and scored a 168 (-3 RC, -1 and -6 LR, and -1 LG). I've scored a -0 on every single section under timed conditions, but I can't seem to do it all at the same time... I would've said that LR was generally my strongest section, but I somehow didn't do so hot on the first LR section... I'm transitioning to a new job in a few months and recently quit my old one, so I'm planning just to study for the June LSAT full time, everyday. How should I make the best use of my time to score in the mid- to high-170s? Thanks much, peeps.

Yeah, unless you're one of those people who scores 170+ on their cold diagnostic, two weeks is *not* enough time to get to mid- to high-170s.Dr. Dre wrote:2 weeks ain't enough time, do0oo0ood.
Strongly recommend taking in October.

Thanks for the responses. For whatever it's worth, I just scored a 172 on PT 52 (-1 & -2 LR, -2 LG, and -3 RC). I'm still going to try to hit it. I think I just need to get used to taking practice tests. October's not an option, unfortunately, since I'm starting a 70+ hour job in July.

I suppose that makes sense.
Make sure you're using a proctor, but don't use the TestMasters one online - it tends to freeze.

Unless you plan on applying to Yale or Harvard, there isn't anything wrong with taking the LSAT multiple times if money isn't an option. I am in a similar boat as you OP and I'm taking June. I hit 170s for the first time today, as a retaker.

I say go for it, but realize you're battling the hardest part of the curve. Personally it took me longer to get from 170 to 175+ as it did to get from 160 to 170. If you haven't taken yet, and you're already doing this well, just go for it in June and if you need Oct it's always there.
