Hindrance: I got 4 hours of sleep.

Benefit: My extra adrenaline still kept me focused.

Whether or not adrenaline is beneficial, many people experience a test day drop of 2-4 points. So you can't count on this being some kind of saving grace.

Absolutely depends on the person. It didn't change my score from my PTs, but I worked a hell of a lot faster. 10-15 minutes to spare on all my RC/LR sections.

Hindrance here. Couldn't control my nerves. Sure I was able to keep my endurance, but I was also so nervous that sometimes it was hard to focus. Cost me at least 3 points under my average.

Benefitted me. I acted like a 16-yr old before a HS football game pre-LSAT, jamming to 3Oh!3 and slamming 5-hour energy. Maybe not my proudest moment.... or maybe it was.... who knows haha.

Depends on how you channel that adrenaline, you could use it to add to your nervousness or you could utilize it to your benefit and allow it to help your concentration; depends on the test taker. But you absolutely cannot count on adrenaline somehow magically giving you an extra few points because of it.

This. Some people ride out that adrenaline wave and it propels them to do better. Others get overwhelmed by the rush, go too quickly, and sacrifice accuracy. The secret is to use it to enhance focus but also have some tricks to slow you down so you don't go too quickly and lose points.
