Testmasters asks for personal information... Legit?

Post by laww » Sun May 19, 2013 9:36 pm

It asks me for my SSN.

I'm on the right testmasters site, testmasters.net, but I'm just wondering why I have to provide my SSN to take a class.

Did everyone else have to do this as well?

Also, did you guys do better after taking a testmasters class?

If you need a structured study environment, I'd recommend Powerscore. I started with a 154, and I ended up PTing in the high 160s when I was done. It helped me establish a foundation and got me motivated to study for several hours a day. With self-study recently, I've started to score in the low-mid 170s. Looking back. I probably could have saved some money and gotten the same results in the long run, but I do think it helped me to establish a foundation.

In addition, the people in that class were the only people I've met in person that were studying for the LSAT. In the early days of my studying, it was nice to have some people to talk about the LSAT with.

Also, have you taken a diagnostic? I would take a class if you're scoring in the 140s, but not if you're in the 160s. 150s I think it depends on the person.
