June or October...PLEASE HELP

I have been studying for the June LSAT since January. I didn't take a class, but I followed one of the LSAT blog study guides and can honestly say I put in all the work involved. For my first couple PTs I went from a 159 (diagnostic) to a 171. Now I'm in the home stretch and for some reason I cant explain my scores are horrible. I've fallen to the low 160's and I have no idea why. After every test I have extra time to check my answers and I typically feel really confident, but my score is a complete shock. I've been going through and analyzing the things I get wrong and am trying to drill a bit more on those areas but with only a few weeks left I wonder if its better if I just wait until October...my confidence is pretty shot.

newer PTs IMO were "harder". Are you missing the same types of questions or just all over the place?

I was doing like 39-40 and now I'm in the upper 50's. I didn't think it would make that much of a difference though. Like I'm pretty much at my diagnostic score even after all that studying...

Best advice though is to take a break (like a day or two) and don't stress

oh and answer to same types or all over the place----- there's a few types that ive been struggling more on, usually main point ones are harder for me. but it seems like inconsistency is one of my problems. at the beginning of my studying i was almost always -0 in games sections and then today I got -7. i dont get it.
anybody know when the last day to cancel is? if i cant get back up to where i need to be in the next week or so i think i'll just wait...

This is great news. You can drastically improve LG between now and June. How did you study for LG?

well i started with games back in like february and i just studied by reading the logic games bible and drilling by type and sections. I think maybe I should drill the basics again or something. i know maybe i should take a break and relax but its only like 3 weeks away and i dont want to waste the few days i have left by not studying.

Take a break for 2 days. Go on a run or work out. Eat healthy. If it's your thing, meditate. See friends. Tell yourself that you are fully capable of 171+ --- you are.
Come back and do a few easy games sections, even if you've seen them before. Realize "I KNOW THIS TEST!!!" Take a PT. I think you'll be happy with the results.
Either way, there isn't much a disadvantage for October. But it sounds to me like you may just be burnt out.
I took a 10 day vacation last month, and compensated by early morning (pre-work) and evening/night (post-work) studying every night. It hurt my score. I took the break and my score was back to where it was.

Just letting you guys know....I decided to rest a couple days and spend a day or two completely focused on LG, took a PT today and scored a 171. I know its a little too early to tell, but I feel so much better! Thanks for the advice

PT'd 173 yesterday. Decided fuck it, gonna write in October instead of June. The reason being is that this 173 didn't feel good, and I think a lot of luck was in play (the stars aligned, the shit I guessed was TCR, and the games were so bloody easy except the last one (PT55). Gonna just have a beer, pay the $83 bucks, and chill the fuck OUT for once!
