I got a 160 about 2 years ago. I have recently quit my job to spend a month and a half studying to take the June LSAT. Any guess on how I will do? I appreciate it for leveling my expectations and maybe giving myself a little challenge. I took a couple practice tests the week before last time but didn't do much practicing. This time, I have all the Powerscore Bibles.

No one can tell you what you are/aren't capable of. You'll get out what you put in, aim for 180 and good luck.

I personally don't think a month and a half is enough to be fully prepped and maximize your potential.

You can always shoot for Oct LSAT as well.

Yeah. You are wasting one of your chances by taking in June.

160-163

I will obviously retake if I dont do well in June but I dont want to just sit around till then and I have trouble finding time to study when I am working.

Study from now until October. If you have more time now, use that to become as familiar as possible with all question types.

the trick is to do 30+ timed prep tests, that way you know what your score will be.

It took me close to a year of learning and getting guidance from people who spent years teaching the LSAT to reach what appears to be my full potential.

Unless you're already trained to think in the way the LSAT requires you to do, a month and a half won't be enough.

I strongly recommend you get the MLSAT LR book and memorize it inside and out.

Yeah, time is tight. I spent 8 months studying on and off for a retake, and jumped quite a bit.

Well... Obviously I would love to study as much as possible for the best score I can get, but... I am currently waitlisted at UW-Madison for the second year in a row so getting just a couple more points might get me in this year still. Obviously if I somehow managed to do a lot better I would just wait till next cycle and have a lot more options.

Really depends on how much work you are willing to put in. Two months is probably enough to crack 170 if you really go for it, especially considering that you didn't have to do much to get to 160.

I guess I will just see how well I do and how prepared I feel once it comes time to take it and if I do pretty well but feel like I could do much better I will hold off on Madison and maybe try for a better score. I am not going to settle though. I got into Marquette last year but turned them down since if I am not going to go to a really good school I might as well go to UW since it is a lot less expensive but has a better rank than Marquette.

I took a non-timed practice test today to see where I am at before going through all my powerscore bibles and I got a 163.

This does not show you where you are at. timed practice tests do. Just to reiterate what others have said you shouldn't be taking in June. You can make some big gains from a 160 if you put in the time, and then you'll be looking at your target school or better with scholarship.

However, even if you are intent on neglecting this advice then you shouldn't really be taking untimed PT's (possibly beneficial if you're getting 178+, but otherwise these experiments just reinforce that you should be drilling/studying). I understand the desire to take PT's and "see where you're at," but you'll be better served by focusing your time in other ways.

edit- just realized that you've gone through all the PS bibles in less than two weeks. Simply reading them does not boost your score significantly, as I believe you've just demonstrated. They are best utilized when read in conjunction with drills of each game/question type covered chapter by chapter. In other words- read, implement, reinforce. You've only had time to do the first of these. Two weeks is hardly sufficient for getting the most out of one bible, let alone all three.

157-163 range.

I haven't gone through the bibles yet. I was stating that the score was before going through the bibles. I wanted to see where I am at in a month when I am done with the bibles compared to now.

I know it is stupid to take in in June but with being on the waitlist at UW-Madison, I could get off of it with a good score I figure.

I just took a timed test that seemed a lot harder and I got a lot more wrong than my previous untimed test but I still got a 163. I will continue to take timed tests regularly. I have been working through one of the PS Bibles but I don't know how much it is helping me.
